Today I’m coming to you from our new rehab in Catalina Foothills in Tucson, Arizona. I’m going to give you a brief walkthrough of our new home and show you how we’re going to open up and modernize the space!

Here we have a three bedroom, two bath, 2200 square foot home. I’m going to go ahead and start in the front yard and show you how we’re really going to clean it up and make it look really nice. We’re going to go ahead and get rid of this mesquite tree. It is really overgrown and it is growing onto the roof, so we want to eliminate any possible damage that might cause for the future buyers. We’re also going to get rid of this mesquite tree over here, along with the oleanders framing the front yard. This is going to open up the space so that you can really see the home. Over on that side, we’re going to clean up and trim that mesquite tree over there, and also get rid of that palm tree right there. We want to make sure that we keep it in that southwestern style landscape, so it’s really clean and easy to take care of. We’re going to add rocks throughout the yard to make it decorative and pretty. And then for the driveway, we’re going to add pavers. Let’s go ahead and take a look inside the house. 

Here we are at the front entrance. As you can see, making your way in, it is really closed off and short in height. So tomorrow when we start our rehab and demo, we’re going to open up to see if we’re able to raise the duct work up so that we can make the ceiling height a lot higher in here. Also with these archways, they’re a little outdated, so we’re going to square these off so that it really opens up as you walk into the house. Come on in through here, we have the living room. So we have really beautiful beams that we’re going to update. Throughout the entire house there’s going to be fresh new flooring and paint. On the ceiling we’re also going to add a lot of recessed lighting, so it really brightens and opens up the room. We’re going to update the ceiling fan as well, new French doors and new windows throughout the entire house. And my favorite part that I’m most excited for is the focal point of the fireplace. Let’s go ahead and make our way into the dining room and kitchen.

Again, we have these archways, so just like the entryway, we’re going to get rid of these and square it off so it really opens up the room. If you make your way in through again, we have the closed off duct work up here. So hopefully tomorrow when we start the demo and we open it up, there’s space for us to move it up so that it really opens up the space. We’re going to get rid of the chandelier, new flooring throughout and new windows. Over here through the kitchen, again getting rid of these archways, squaring it off and opening up the space. We’re going to have brand new cabinets. We’re going to have tile work backsplash, brand new countertops, appliances. And we’re really just going to have a lot of bright recessed lighting throughout the entire home, and also, you know, create a really cool dining space over there or an eat-in kitchen. Let’s go ahead and make our way to the guest bedrooms. 

Okay, here we are in the hallway that leads to the guest bedrooms and bathrooms. Again, getting rid of these archways that are throughout the entire home. Over here, we have the first guest bedroom. We’re going to have new flooring going throughout the entire home, fresh paint, brand new windows, and a really nice updated ceiling fan. Over through here, we’re going to make our way to the guest bathroom. In the guest bathroom we’re going to have really nice tile work throughout the entire space. A brand new vanity, brand new plumbing throughout, along with the toilet and shower and tub. Through here we have the second guest bedroom. Again, same as the first, we’re going to have flooring throughout, new paint, new windows, and a really nice ceiling fan as well. Let’s go ahead and make our way to the master bedroom.

Okay, here we are in the master suite. This is a huge master suite. So new flooring, paint, windows. We’re going to have recessed lighting and a new ceiling fan in this room. Beautiful French doors that we’re going to add in here, new ones. And then we’re going to make our way into the master ensuite. Beautiful tile work on the floor. We’re going to expand this vanity to make it a double vanity. So we’re getting rid of this linen closet, blowing it out and expanding so you have a really nice big vanity over here. We’re going to add a pony wall so you have some privacy for the toilet area. And then over here, we’re going to get rid of the tub and just make probably the shower out to here a really nice big walk-in shower. And then over here, you have a really nice, big long master closet. So we’re just going to update that, give some recessed lighting so that it’s really nice new updated. Let’s make our way to the backyard.

Alright here we are in the backyard. As you can see, it’s really green and luscious from the rains, but we have to go ahead and clean up a lot of this. We’re going to get rid of these clovers throughout the entire ground, clean up this mesquite tree, take off all of the vines of the house because we have to redo the stucco and paint. And then we’re going to add some pavers right along through here that lead out through the gate. And you have a lot of privacy back here with the wash. On both sides we’re going to have artificial turf. So it’ll be a really nice low maintenance yard that you’ll get to enjoy the Catalina Foothill views. Over through here there’s a beautiful garden that the previous homeowners had, but we’re going to go ahead and clear this part out. So you have a pretty big massive backyard throughout here, and this is going to be a really, really nice space for whatever you plan to do when you purchase the home.
